Lavenham offers plenty of things to see and do, with wonderful teashops and quaint gift shops located in the village. The Church of St Peter and St Paul is one of Suffolk’s finest ecclesiastical buildings, the Lavenham Sinfonia gives regular concerts there on Sundays. The Guildhall of Corpus Christi is a local history museum with exhibitions on the medieval cloth industry. The Lavenham area also offers a number of good circular walks and an audio tour of the village is available from the pharmacy. Further afield, Bury St Edmunds, the coastal towns of Orford, Aldeburgh and Southwold, and Constable Country are all within easy reach for a day trip. Racing at Newmarket and some good golf courses are also within easy reach. |
