The Old White Hart is one of the few remaining traditional country pubs in the area. The ten minute drive from Corby or the five minutes from Uppingham seem like a step back in time. Things to do in and around Lyddington * You can go fishing or bird watching at close by Eyebrook Reservoir. * Try a spot of cycling round Rutland Water, the largest man made lake in the UK. * See some local heritage that is the Bede House, right here in Lyddington. * Rockingham Castle can be visited or the new Rockingham Speedway- which hosts many exciting events regularly, both Rockingham Castle and Speedway are only about 5 miles away. * Visit the Welland Viaduct near the village of Harringworth, which is one of the longest brick built viaduct in England. * Burghley House at Stamford is only 10 miles away. |
