The Bay Tree House is a highly regarded establishment. It currently holds 4 AA Red Diamonds, which the AA only awards to establishments that it lists within the nations top 10%. It was also runner-up in the 2006 Merseyside Bed & Breakfast of the Year competition. Its breakfasts were awarded the 2005/06 AA Golden Eggcup Award. Dinner is also served at the hotel, upon prior request. Prices range from 16.95 GBP (2-course) to 21.50 GBP (3-course). Exclusive dinner parties of 10 or more can also be catered for. All meals are prepared with fresh and, where possible, local ingredients. The hotel is non-smoking through-out. |

Royal Birkdale Golf Course (5 km) - World famous golf club, having staged 8 Open Championships. Ainsdale Nature Reserve (6 km) - one of the largest areas of wild dune land left in Britain. Covering 670 acres, the area offers a rare glimpse of the red squirrel. |

By car: - Head towards Southport and follow signs for the A565. - Once on this road, head toward the roundabout. - Turn onto Leicester Street, and Irving Street is the 3rd right. By train (from Southport Railway or Metro Stations, 900 m): - Leave either station and head towards Lord Street (the A565) - Cross the road and continue through to the Promenade. - Walk along this street until you reach Leicester Street on your right. - Turn here, and Irving Street will be on your left. Taxis are available from nearby the station, and will cost approximately £3.50. By bus/coach: - Most bus and coach services will drop off in Lord Street. See above for walking directions from here. |
