The Castle is believed to have been commissioned by Henry VIII, around 1540, to defend the Spithead, Southampton Water and The Solent against the threat of a Spanish invasion. A mischievous, but friendly, spirit is rumoured to be a permanent Castle resident. We offer delicious bar meals and snacks, and a full a la carte menu from the Brasserie. Whats so special about us?
