| The historic walled town of Conwy lies just across the estuary from the hotel. The castle was built by Edward I between 1283 and 1289 and holds great significance in the history of Wales. The Victorian town of Llandudno, Wales largest holiday resort, is only 21 miles from the hotel. The Victorian tradition is evident in the architecture, canopied shops and elegant facades. The resort lies between the Great and Little Ormes which in themselves provide interesting walks and beautiful views. Situated on the Great Orme is Europes oldest Bronze Age copper mine, which can be reached by tram or cable car. |
