Restaurant 1563, named after the year the hotel was built, with its fine oak panelled walls and a roaring log fire in the winter, offers elegant and informal dining. Local seafood dishes are a speciality together with traditional Sunday roast lunches. For a lighter bite, try the bar. All dishes are freshly prepared using the best in local produce. Vegetarian dishes are available as are special dietary dishes by prior arrangement. Open for lunch and dinner. A wide range of specially selected wines from local brewers Adnams. Non-smoking restaurant, seating for 80 guests. Dress code: smart-casual (no shorts). During the Aldeburgh Festival and the August proms at Snape Maltings, the hotel can provide pre-concert meals or late suppers. Delicious picnic hampers can also be arranged during the August proms. |
